Teaching Overview

The idea of teaching English abroad has been steadily growing in popularity worldwide as the English language is becoming more universally spoken. Teach English Abroad with LEAPAbroad is a continuing education program for American and Canadian students wishing to share their knowledge of the English language in Spanish public schools. It is an incredible way to gain international experience as a part of your induction into the professional community.

The program is supplemental to the Spanish Government which places participants in urban and rural areas all over Spain based on their regional preference. The program spans the academic year in Spain which begins on October 1^st and ends May 31^st. Participants will spend an average of 12-15 hours each week teaching in their assigned school, allowing for plenty of free time to experience the Spanish culture!

Upon completing the program, you will receive certification for your work and potentially earn credit for a continuing education program (at the discretion of your home University).
